Balinese Silver & Gold

Applied wire filigree, handmade in Indonesia. The gold is a plated layer, and we say so. Balinese silversmiths have worked granulation and filigree, tiny silver beads and twisted wire soldered onto a silver base, for generations, and these pieces come from those workshops: a bracelet, a round pendant and tribal drop earrings, each with the fine wirework in gold against the silver. The gold is a surface layer over solid silver, and that is what keeps the pieces affordable; it is worth knowing before you buy.
