Raw Stones & Specimens

Uncut, unpolished, straight from the ground, and every piece one of a kind. This is the shelf for people who prefer a stone as it was found: amethyst stands and clusters with their crystal faces intact, apophyllite tips from India with their glassy pyramids, Peruvian pyrite in its first-grade cubes, and raw chunks that have never seen a tumbler. It is also where the bulk packs live: half-kilo lucky dips of mixed tumble stones and one-kilo bags of chips in sodalite, labradorite, golden quartz and the rest, bought by makers, teachers and anyone who wants a bowl of stones rather than one. Raw specimens are the collector's end of the shop and the end where the price per gram is lowest. Photographs show a representative piece; yours will have its own shape.
