Candle Holders
A candle holder shouldn't disappear the moment you blow the candle out.
Our collection includes holders made from Moroccan selenite, petrified wood and mango wood, along with handmade wooden candlesticks in white and gold or turquoise and gold. Prices range from £11.65 to £40.60.
The selenite pieces are the ones people fall for. Selenite is translucent, so the flame flickers gently through the walls of the holder and the whole thing glows from within. They come as cylinders in four heights, plus mountain-top, snowball, heart, Hamsa and yin yang shapes, from £11.65.
The petrified wood holders are carved by hand from petrified wood and marble — wood that gradually turned to stone over millions of years — in single, double and triple versions. Every one is unique, with its own variations and cracks.
The mango wood stands have a warmer, more natural look, with carved designs including Hamsa pieces, and the classic whitewashed stands come in three heights. They work particularly well when you group several together at different heights.
The selenite holders are sized for tealights and nightlights, while the wooden stands take standard dinner candles. If you're unsure which candle will fit, the measurements are listed on each individual product page.
Because selenite is a relatively soft mineral, it's best kept dry and dusted gently rather than washed. Wooden holders should be wiped rather than soaked.
If wax spills onto a holder, let it cool completely before removing it. In many cases it will simply lift away once it has hardened.
If you need candles to go with your holder, the Greenman woodwicks are £9.94, or you can browse the wider Agnes + Cat collection.
