Altar Brass Bell - Triquetra

A bright brass chime for Celtic, Druid and Goddess practice

Altar Brass Bell - Triquetra

The Triquetra knot of eternity rises from the handle

  • The bell for Celtic, Druid and Goddess practice rather than the pentagram path
  • Rung at handfastings and namings as well as at the altar
  • Bright, clear tone that carries without being harsh
  • Brass keeps its shine for years with an occasional polish
  • Pairs with the copper Tree of Life goblet for a Celtic altar set

Ring it at a handfasting, a naming or the start of a rite

A solid brass altar bell topped with the Triquetra, the three-cornered knot that runs through Celtic art and stands for eternity, protection and the unity of three in one: maiden, mother and crone, or land, sea and sky, depending on the tradition reading it. The bell is 10.5cm tall, polished bright, and rings with a clear, bright tone that marks a moment: the opening of a ritual, the end of a meditation, the clearing of a room. It is the bell for a Celtic, Druid or Goddess-centred practice, where the pentagram bell on the same shelf would say the wrong thing, and it is bought for handfastings and naming ceremonies as much as for altars. Brass rings true and does not tarnish quickly, and at 50g the bell has enough weight to sound cleanly. Handcrafted in India by traditional brass workers, so each one differs a little in the casting.

Solid brass, polished. 5 x 5 x 10.5cm. Weighs 50g. From India.
