Baby Powder - Soap Loaf

Baby Powder is a 1.3kg hand-crafted soap loaf, uncut, with the soft floral and powdery scent of a nursery layered through the block in three colours, so every slice shows the stripes. It is the gentlest scent of the Wild and Natural loaves, the one for a family bathroom, a nursery basin or anyone who finds perfumed soap too much, and it is bought by people who want to cut their own bars: a loaf this size gives twelve or thirteen bars of around 100g, cut thick or thin as you like with a kitchen knife, at a fraction of the price of boxed soap. Small shops, holiday lets and gift-basket makers buy it for the same reason. The base is a glycerin soap, which lathers softly and does not dry the skin. Handmade in the UK, so the colours and the layering vary a little from the photograph. Wrap the cut bars in paper and they keep for months; set one on a draining dish and it lasts twice as long.
