Long sticks that last most of an evening
Citronella incense in bulk: a 500g pack of around 450 sticks, each 25cm long, highly fragranced and individually coloured, made in India. Citronella is the sharp, lemony grass oil burned outdoors on summer evenings to keep the midges off the table, and a long incense stick pushed into a plant pot or a patio crack does the job of a citronella candle at a fraction of the cost, with a scent that lifts a stuffy room indoors too. This is the bulk pack for a garden, a campsite, a pub terrace or a summer of barbecues: the 9 inch sticks burn for most of an hour each and the half kilo brings the price down to pennies a stick. Bamboo cored with a wood and joss powder paste, coloured so the bulk scents can be told apart. Keep the pack sealed and dry over winter and it is ready for the next May.
Bamboo sticks, wood powder, joss powder, colours and fragrance. About 450 sticks, 25cm. Weighs 500g. From India.
