Purify a room before heart work with a pinch of rose resin
A brass charcoal incense jar in green with golden patterns, handmade in India, in the colour of the heart chakra. It is the proper vessel for loose resin: a charcoal tablet goes on the removable grate, the resin goes on the charcoal, and the ash falls through into the jar rather than onto the table.
Green is the colour of the fourth chakra, the centre of love and compassion, so the jar is used in rituals of purification or activation at the heart. Rose or benzoin resin suits it, and so does frankincense. At 7.7cm across and 95g it fits a small altar or a bedside shelf.
The jar gets very hot while the charcoal burns. Stand it on a heat-resistant base, keep it away from flammable things, do not touch it in use, and let the charcoal cool fully before you throw it out.
Brass. 3 x 7.7cm. Weighs 95g. From India.
