A pendulum of three parts on a chain: a polished clear quartz point at the bottom, a band of deep purple amethyst above it, and a length of warm copper between the two, with silver-tone fittings. The copper is what sets it apart from a plain stone pendulum. It warms the look and gives the piece a little more weight, so it swings slowly and settles cleanly.
In crystal practice amethyst is read as the stone of intuition and calm, and clear quartz as the stone of clarity and focus, so the two together are the classic pairing for dowsing. Hold the chain between thumb and finger, let the point settle, and ask.
