An 8cm crystal ball on its own stand in K9 optical glass, the middle size of the seven we carry and the one that balances presence against price. At 800g it has the weight of a proper object, the inverted room inside it is clear from across a table, and it fills a palm, but it is still a size that sits on a bookshelf or a bedside without taking the space over. Crystal balls are hard to make flawless, and the larger the sphere the more are discarded in production, so the 8cm is the last size before the price begins to climb steeply. It arrives foam-packed in a protective box with its stand. Used for scrying, for the inverted-image photograph, as the centre of a crystal grid and simply as a thing that catches the light, and bought as a first serious crystal ball or a birthday present.
