Most people who collect crystals end up wanting somewhere to put them down. A charging plate is that somewhere: a flat piece of selenite that lives on a windowsill, an altar or a bedside table and holds whatever you have been carrying that day. Tumbled stones, a pendant, a ring, the point you keep on your desk. Leave them on it overnight and pick them up in the morning.
Selenite is the stone traditionally used for this, because it is said to clear other stones without needing clearing itself. It also makes a practical difference: the bar gives small pieces a fixed home instead of a drawer, and the seven engraved chakra symbols, in order, give each stone its own spot along the length. At 20cm it takes a handful of tumbles, a full bracelet, or two or three points stood on end.
Selenite is a soft mineral and does not like water. Do not wash it or leave it on a damp sill; wipe it with a dry cloth. Kept dry, it lasts indefinitely. Each bar is cut from natural Moroccan selenite, so the fibre lines, translucency and exact shade differ from one to the next.
