Ocean Agate Crystal Sphere with Stand

Ocean agate is banded in blues, greys and whites, with the occasional pocket of tiny quartz crystals, and a 50mm sphere cuts straight through those bands so the pattern wraps the whole ball. No two are remotely alike: one may be mostly pale with a single dark ring, the next striped like a tide line. It is polished to a high gloss and stands on its own base at about 6.5cm tall, a good size for a desk or a shelf of stones. Agate is a hard, durable chalcedony, so it handles well and keeps its polish. In crystal practice agate is read as a steadying, protective stone, and the blue varieties are associated with calm and clear communication, like the sea on a still day.
