Large African Tumble Stones - Dragon Stones (Pack of 6)

Six large tumbled dragon stones, each 30 to 50mm, polished smooth, from Madagascar. Dragon stone is a mix of calcite, aragonite and limestone formed from volcanic activity and ancient marine sediment, and it comes out mottled in greens, creams, greys and browns, every stone patterned differently; the Malagasy legend behind the name says that when the dragons died their bones settled on the sea floor and turned to this. It is a stone for people who like minerals with a story and a surface to look at, and the large size shows the mottling properly, which the small tumbles do not. In crystal practice it is read as a grounding stone with a creative streak, the dragon's fire in an earth stone. Six in a pack is enough for a bowl, a windowsill row or a grid. Natural stone, so colours and patterns vary from the photograph. A good stone for a child who likes dragons.
