Six large tumbled brecciated jasper stones from South Africa, each 30 to 50mm, polished smooth. Brecciated jasper is jasper that was broken into fragments and then cemented back together by chalcedony, so every stone is a map of cracks and healed seams in pale creams, tans and soft reds, and the large size shows the pattern properly. In crystal practice it is read as the stone of regeneration and recovery, the stone that was broken and put back together, kept by people getting over something, and the size suits a stone that is held rather than displayed. Six in a pack is enough for a bowl, a grid or a few to give to friends on the mend. The colours are gentle and suit a wooden table or a neutral room. Natural stone, so the cracks and tones vary from piece to piece and from the photograph, and that is the point of a brecciated stone.
