A full stick leans the length of it and the ash stays put
- A full stick leans the length of it and the ash stays on the tray
- Takes two or three sticks at once, studio style
- Plain grain for a room where the whitewash and the mandala would not fit
- Heavy enough at 350g not to shift
- Pairs with the mango wood backflow burners for a matched shelf

Two or three sticks at once, studio style
A long mango wood incense tray in the plain classic finish, 30 by 10cm, with the warm brown grain of the wood left to speak for itself and no carving or wash over it. The length is the reason to buy a tray rather than a small boat: a full-size stick leans the whole way along it and every bit of ash lands on wood, not on the table, and the width takes two or three sticks burning at once, which is how incense gets burned in a yoga studio or a shop. Mango wood is dense and heavy for a timber, so the tray sits still at 350g, and it is sustainable, cut from orchard trees after they stop fruiting. The plain version is the one for a room where the whitewash would look pale or the carved mandala too busy, and it goes with the mango wood backflow burners and box burners on the same shelf. Made in India and finished by hand. Ash tips out; the surface wipes with a dry cloth.
