A large round wooden wick candle in a hand-cast concrete bowl, scented with Patchouli and Dark Amber. Patchouli brings the earthy, slightly sweet depth it is known for, and dark amber adds a warm resin underneath, so the candle smells of an autumn evening rather than a flower shop. The rosewood wick crackles as it burns and keeps the flame wide in the soy wax.
Each bowl is cast by hand, so every one has its own texture, small bubbles and variation in tone. The raw concrete suits a modern room, with wood, linen and plants, and felt pads underneath protect the surface it stands on. At 14cm across it is a centrepiece candle for a coffee table or a mantelpiece.
Once the wax has gone, keep the bowl for a plant, a few tealights or keys by the door.
