Magic Pendulum - Amethyst

An amethyst dowsing pendulum, cut by hand from the purple quartz so that no two are the same shape: some are long and slim, some short and faceted, and the colour runs from pale lilac to deep violet. In crystal practice amethyst is read as the stone of intuition and calm, so this is the pendulum many readers choose for questions they want to answer quietly, at the end of the day rather than in a hurry.

The pendulum hangs on a silver-plated chain of about 170mm with a gemstone bead at the top end to hold, so the chain does not slip through the fingers. At around 17g it is light enough to answer a small movement and heavy enough to settle cleanly, which suits beginners and map dowsing alike.
