Aqua halo is the blue-green member of the aura quartz family: natural clear quartz bonded in a vacuum with a thin layer of metal, giving the points a sea-coloured sheen with flashes of violet at the edges. The colour sits in the surface of the stone and does not wear off. This medium piece, 5.5cm tall and around a hundred grams, stands on its own base and catches light from a window better than almost anything else that size, so it tends to end up on a sill. Beneath the treatment it is real quartz, with natural growth lines and terminations. In crystal practice aqua aura is associated with calm and clear communication, and it is a frequent choice for a desk or a bedside.
