A soy wax candle with a wooden wick, poured into a hand-cast concrete pot and scented with juniper and sweet gin: the dry, piney, botanical smell of the juniper berry that flavours gin, with a sweetness behind it, more cocktail bar than cake shop. The concrete is the point of the range: every pot comes out of the mould a little different, with its own flecks, pits and tone, and the raw grey finish sits well with wood, linen and plants. The wooden wick crackles softly as it burns and gives a wide, even pool of wax, and felt pads on the base stop the pot scratching a table. At 8cm and 450g it is a medium candle for a side table or a bathroom, and once the wax is gone the pot is a plant pot or a pen holder. The gin scent makes it the one bought for a gin drinker's birthday or a new flat.
