Twelve medium amethyst tumble stones. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, coloured by traces of iron in the stone, and across a pack the shades run from pale lilac to deep violet. In crystal practice it is the stone of calm and relaxation, the one most people buy first and keep by the bed.
