A tall, narrow ultrasonic diffuser in white, shaped like a teardrop, with a 120ml tank that is the right size for a bedside or a small office: two or three hours of mist from a fill, then it switches itself off when the water is gone. A seven-colour LED glows through the body and can be set to cycle or stay on one colour, or turned off for a dark bedroom. It runs from USB on a metre of cable. The mist is cool, so the scent of an essential oil arrives as it is in the bottle, and the unit stays silent apart from a faint tick when the mist starts. At 19cm tall and 167g it takes up the footprint of a coffee cup, and that is the whole appeal of the shape.
