Yellow ghost quartz carries a pale gold phantom inside each point: the outline of an earlier crystal, preserved as the quartz kept growing around it. Hold a point to the light and the ghost shows as a faint pyramid inside the clear outer layer. This is a natural cluster, not an assembled one, with several points growing from a shared base, seven centimetres across and just under three hundred grams. The yellow runs from a hint of honey to a definite gold depending on the point, and it looks its best on a dark surface or in low afternoon light. In crystal practice phantom quartz is read as a stone of growth through change, and yellow stones are associated with confidence and clarity.
