Bring raw rugged history into your home for a perfectly grounded atmosphere
Petrified wood is a tree that ran out of time. Buried and waterlogged, it swapped fibre for fibre with silica until the whole thing turned to stone. The rings and the splits you can see are the original wood's, kept in mineral.
This one has been carved flat by hand from petrified wood and marble, polished on top, left rough round the edges for a rustic texture, and drilled with two wells for standard tealights. At nearly two kilos it holds a table down. No two come out alike — every variation and crack was made during petrification, which is the point: yours will not look exactly like the photograph.
