Around fifteen sticks of half an hour each
Satya Aaruda, a 15g pack of hand-rolled sticks from the house that makes Nag Champa. Aaruda is one of the smaller lines in the Satya range, so it is the pack for someone who already burns the blue pack and wants a change without changing brand. Around fifteen sticks to a pack, each burning for about half an hour.
Satya rolls its incense by hand in India with a masala paste of resins, herbs and oils pressed onto the bamboo stick. That is the reason the smoke is fuller and the scent carries further than a dipped stick from a supermarket.
Light the tip, let it glow, blow out the flame and stand it in a holder on a heatproof surface. One stick is enough for an average room. The box is recyclable card, and a pack beside a box of Nag Champa is the usual way to compare the two.
