Satya Champa, a 15g pack of hand-rolled sticks from the Bangalore house that makes Nag Champa. Champa is the flower the famous blend is named after, and this pack puts it at the front: a sweet, floral scent built on the champaca flower, lighter than the blue pack and closer to a garden than a temple.
Satya rolls its incense by hand in India with a masala paste of resins, flowers and oils pressed onto the bamboo stick, so the smoke is softer and the scent longer than a dipped stick. Each stick burns for about half an hour and a 15g pack holds around fifteen.
Light the tip, let it glow, blow out the flame and stand it in a holder on a heatproof surface. Champa suits a bedroom or a morning rather than a late evening, and it is the pack to give someone who finds Nag Champa too heavy.
