Square Dots is the modern design in the shell and silver range: a square of abalone shell set in a silver frame, with a row of small silver dots along the edge, on a hook fitting. It is the pair for people who want the colour of abalone, the shifting blue, green and violet of the paua shell, without a flower or a creature, and it goes with a plain shirt in a way the dragonfly and the frangipani do not. The earrings are 4cm long and weigh 5g the pair, the lightest in the range. Handmade in Indonesia by the Balinese silversmiths who have inlaid shell into silver for generations, each square cut and set by hand, so the pattern in the shell differs from one pair to the next.
