No two lingam pendulums look alike

A Shiva lingam pendulum, the egg-shaped banded stone from the Narmada river finished with a faceted crystal point beneath it, on a chain. Shiva lingams are gathered from one river in central India, where the stones are tumbled smooth by the water and polished by hand into the rounded form that represents Shiva in Hindu worship, and each carries its own red-brown and grey banding, so no two look alike. Here the lingam is the weight of the pendulum and the point below it gives the swing a direction. In crystal practice the lingam is the stone of balance, of the union of opposites and of grounding, and it is chosen as a pendulum by people whose practice leans towards yoga and Hindu tradition. It is 23cm overall and weighs 15g, a comfortable, steady pendulum in the hand. Natural stone, so colour and markings vary. Sold singly.

Shiva lingam stone with crystal point, chain. 23 x 2cm. Weighs 15g. From India.
