Oil on water or a wax melt in the bowl on top
A ceramic oil burner in deep blue with the Tree of Life pierced through its sides, so that when the tea light is lit beneath the dish the tree glows out of the dark glaze. It is a classic lamp shape, 11cm tall, with a bowl on top that takes water and a few drops of fragrance oil, or a wax melt dropped in dry, and an open chamber below for the candle. The decorative glaze is thick and glossy, and the blue version is the one for a bedroom or a bathroom, the colours of water and night. The Tree of Life, roots and branches joined in a circle, is the symbol of growth and connection in almost every tradition, and a pierced one in candlelight is a small, calm thing to watch. At 400g it sits steady. Oil burners are the gift that always gets used, and this one is priced to go with a bottle of oil and a card. Also in ivory.
Glazed ceramic, blue. 9 x 10 x 11cm. Weighs 400g.
