Clementine is the bright one of Agnes and Cat's Kilner jar candles: a clean, fresh citrus that is crisp rather than sweet, the smell of peeling the fruit, and the one that lifts a kitchen or a hallway the moment it is lit. The jar is a proper 400ml Kilner with its clip-down lid, which keeps the scent in between burns and leaves you a jar to use when the candle is done, and it is filled with hand-poured natural soy wax that burns evenly and releases the fragrance slowly rather than all at once. At 960g it is a substantial candle with many evenings in it. Agnes and Cat pour in small batches in Yorkshire, and soy wax burns cooler and cleaner than paraffin, without soot on the glass. Let the first burn reach the edge of the jar and trim the wick, and it burns level to the bottom.
