Coffee and Walnut is the comfort scent of Agnes and Cat's Kilner jar candles: freshly brewed coffee softened with nutty, slightly buttery notes, warm and familiar without tipping into cake-shop sweetness. It is the candle for a relaxed evening, a slow weekend morning or a living room in November, and the scent lingers gently rather than filling the house. The jar is a real 400ml Kilner with a clip lid, so the fragrance stays sealed between burns and the jar outlives the candle, and it holds nearly a kilo of hand-poured natural soy wax, which burns evenly and releases scent gradually. Agnes and Cat make these in small batches in Yorkshire. Soy wax burns cooler than paraffin and does not blacken the glass. Let the first burn reach the edge of the jar, keep the wick trimmed, and it burns level all the way down.
