The Halloween piece that stays out all year
A skull carved from a natural calcite geode, around 4.5cm tall and 115g, so that the banding of the calcite and the pockets of crystal that formed inside the geode run through the carving: a cheek might open into a glittering cavity, the crown might be striped honey and cream. Because every geode is different, no two skulls are alike, and the photograph shows the design rather than the exact piece you will receive. Carved skulls are the memento mori of the crystal world, a reminder of mortality that in crystal practice is read as introspection and the clearing away of what no longer matters, and the calcite, the stone of calm and emotional cleansing, softens the symbol. It is the size for a desk, a bookshelf or the dark corner of a mineral collection, and it is bought for the witchcraft shelf, for Halloween and by collectors who want one skull in every stone.
Natural calcite geode, hand-carved. 4.7 x 3.2 x 3.7cm. Weighs 115g.
