Calcite Geode - Medium
An ordinary rock outside and a bed of crystal inside

Big enough to anchor a shelf, small enough to turn in your hands
- Moroccan calcite geode, 10 to 12cm across
- Cut open to show calcite and selenite crystal inside
- Honey-and-white crystal that catches light across a room
- The mid size of three, a shelf's main object
- Each geode grew in its own rock, so no two match

The middle size of our three Moroccan calcite geodes
A Moroccan calcite geode in the 10 to 12cm size, cut open to show a cavity lined with calcite and selenite crystal. From the outside it is an ordinary rough rock; the inside is a bed of glassy, honey-and-white crystal that catches light from across a room. This is the mid-size of the three we carry: big enough to be the main object on a shelf, small enough to pick up and turn in your hands, and turning it over is the thing people cannot stop doing with a geode. Every one grew differently, so the colour runs from near-white to warm amber and the crystal size varies. In crystal practice calcite is associated with clearing and calm, and a geode is traditionally kept where the energy of a room is meant to settle.
