A small first crystal ball, on its own stand, for a curious child
The 5cm crystal ball, the smallest of the seven sizes, in the same K9 optical glass as the large spheres, on its own little stand. Small does not mean lesser: the glass is the camera-lens grade used right up the range, the sphere is flawless, and at this size it does something the big ones cannot, which is sit in a palm, on a desk corner or in a pocket. It turns whatever is behind it upside down in miniature, catches a window and throws a tiny bright spot, and at five pounds it is the way most people own their first crystal ball. It is bought for stocking fillers, for desks, for children who have asked for one, and for crystal grids, where a clear sphere at the centre is the traditional focus. It comes foam-packed in a small protective box with its stand. Keep it out of direct sun; even a small sphere focuses light.
K9 optical glass with stand, foam-boxed. 5cm diameter. Weighs 245g. Also available in 6, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 20cm.
