Set on pale turned wood for a desk or a bedside
A faceted amethyst ball on a light wooden stand. Unlike a polished sphere, the surface is cut into dozens of flat faces, so instead of one soft highlight the ball throws small sparks of light in every direction, and the purple reads deeper at the facet edges than in the middle. It is about 5.5cm across and 10cm tall on its stand, and the stand is turned from pale wood to set the colour off. Faceted balls are the choice for a windowsill or a spot under a lamp, where a smooth sphere would just glow and this one glitters. Amethyst is the stone of peace and clear thinking in crystal practice, kept by the bed for sleep and on the desk for focus.
Amethyst and wood. Ball approximately 5.5cm; 10cm with the stand. Weighs 225g. From India.
