A dragon's head carved from bloodstone, the dark green jasper shot through with flecks and streaks of red iron, so that the red falls where the carver found it, across a brow or down a jaw, and no two heads are marked alike. The carving is detailed for its 6cm size: scales, horns, the ridge of the brow, a slightly open mouth. At 26g it fits a palm and sits on a desk or a shelf as a small, fierce object. Bloodstone has been carried as a warrior's stone since ancient Greece, read in crystal practice as the stone of courage and vitality, and a dragon in it is bought for exactly that: for someone starting something hard. It comes as a single carving from natural stone.
