A small green Hamsa that catches the ash from slim sticks
A holder that doubles as a protective charm on a shelf
- Small aluminium Hamsa holder in a rich green finish
- 13 by 5.5cm, sized for slimmer incense sticks
- 70g, so it does not tip
- The Hamsa: protection and good fortune
- Wipes clean; a tidy gift with a pack of sticks
Heavy enough at 70g that it never tips over
A small aluminium incense holder in the shape of the Hamsa, the open hand with the eye at its centre, finished in a rich green. It is cut small, 13 by 5.5cm, to suit the slimmer incense sticks, and the hand catches the ash as the stick burns down over it. Cast and finished by hand in India, it has a little weight at 70g so it does not tip, and the green reads well against wood, brass and terracotta. The Hamsa has meant protection and good fortune across the Middle East and North Africa for centuries, which makes this a holder that is also a small talisman for a shelf, a desk or a meditation corner. It makes a tidy gift with a pack of sticks, and it wipes clean.
Aluminium, green finish. 13 x 5.5cm. Weighs 70g. From India.
