A cast concrete incense plate finished to look like antique stone, 23 by 17cm, heavy at 730g and wide enough to catch the ash from a long stick or a cone without any of it reaching the table. The weight is the point: it does not slide, tip or travel across a shelf when the door bangs. The antique finish is matt and mottled, grey with warmer tones showing through, so it looks like something dug up rather than something cast, and it suits a room of wood, plants and linen.
