The Himalayas is an ultrasonic aroma diffuser that lights its rising mist with a flickering LED so the column looks like a small fire, and it comes with a remote control, so the light, the mist and the timer are run from the sofa or the bed. The tank holds 240ml of water, enough for a long evening, with a timer at one, three or six hours so it switches itself off, and it is powered by USB-C on a cord of at least 80cm, the same cable as a recent phone. Add water and a few drops of essential oil and the cool mist carries the true scent of the oil, unchanged by heat, while the flame effect does the work of a candle without a flame. At 12.5cm tall and 18.5cm across it is a wide, low, stable piece for a side table or a bedside. For use with essential oils in water only; fragrance oils and neat oils damage the ultrasonic plate.
