Every hexagon holds a different green landscape
A hexagon of moss agate bound in lace. Moss agate is clear to milky chalcedony with green inclusions that branch through it like a forest seen from above, so every pendant carries its own small landscape. In crystal practice it is read as the gardener's stone, linked with growth and nature.
The stone is bound in a net of lace, nylon and cotton, rather than capped or drilled, so nothing metal touches it and the whole stone shows. It hangs on an adjustable string of about 44cm, so it can sit at the collarbone or lower over a jumper, and it arrives ready to wear. The hexagon is cut by hand in India, so each stone has its own shade and markings.
At 11g it is light enough to wear all day and forget about, and it slips under a shirt for work. It makes an easy gift for someone who prefers natural, handmade pieces to shiny jewellery.
Gemstone with nylon and cotton lace. 3.5 x 0.5 x 3.5cm. Weighs 11g. From India.
