Large Aluminium Singing Bowl - Buddha Tree of Life - Copper
Immerse yourself in a room-filling vibration that brings an instant sense of calm
Hold a massive sustained note without exhausting your carrying arm
- A deep note that holds long after you take your hand away
- The inner base carries a seated Buddha that looks up at you as you play
- Tree of Life panels and Tibetan script wrap the outside
- Aluminium keeps a 19cm bowl at 1.3kg, so you can actually lift and hold it
- Wooden striker included — strike the rim, then circle it to keep it singing
Deepen your practice with a beautifully crafted bowl that commands the room
The decoration is the reason to buy this one. A seated Buddha is worked into the inside of the bowl, so it looks back up at you while you play it, and the outside carries Tree of Life panels set between bands of Tibetan script, all in warm copper tones.
Aluminium rather than brass keeps it manageable: 1.3kg instead of the three or four kilos a brass bowl this wide would weigh. The note is deep and rich and holds for a long time, which is what makes a 19cm bowl worth having for meditation, yoga, relaxation and sound work. Strike the rim to start it, then run the striker round the outside to keep it going.
19 x 19cm. Weighs 1.3kg. From India.
