Healing Gong in Stand - Medium, Black

A 35cm healing gong hung in a black albasia wood stand, ready to play as it arrives. This is the medium gong of the range, the one for a home practice room, a treatment room or a small yoga studio: struck softly it holds a long single note that rolls and fades slowly, struck hard it fills a room, and it does both without the weight or the floor space of the 50cm gong. Gongs of this type are the temple gongs of Bali and Java, and in Britain they have become the instrument of the sound bath and the end of a yoga class, where one stroke settles a room faster than any words. The stand is albasia, a light plantation wood, finished in black, and the whole thing weighs 4.2kg, so it moves between rooms easily and sits on a table or the floor. Black is the plain colourway; the greenwash stand on the same shelf is the other. Made in Indonesia.
