Palo Santo Large Incense Sticks - Chipre

Large palo santo incense sticks in the Chipre blend, made in Peru. Chypre is the classic perfume family built on bergamot, oakmoss and labdanum, dry and mossy and a little dark, and here it is layered over ground palo santo, the South American holy wood whose sweet, resinous smoke has been used for cleansing in Peru and Ecuador for centuries. The result is the most grown-up scent in the range: earthy, slightly smoky, closer to a fine fragrance than to a joss stick. The sticks are 20cm long and thick, 20g to the pack, and each burns for over an hour. Use a holder that can take a thicker stick, or stand one in a bowl of sand. This is the palo santo for an evening rather than a morning, and the blend people pick when they want their incense to smell like cologne.
