A protective symbol for a doorway shelf
A small Hamsa incense holder in aluminium with a two-tone red and green finish, the colours split across the open hand and the eye at its centre, which gives it more life than a plain holder. It is the small size, 13 by 5.5cm, made for the thinner incense sticks, and it catches the ash along the length of the hand. At 70g it is light but stable. The Hamsa has been a protective symbol across the Mediterranean and the Middle East for centuries, and the red and green make it the festive version, the one that goes out at Christmas or sits in a bright kitchen the rest of the year. Handcrafted in India, it wipes clean and costs little enough to pair with a box of sticks as a gift.
Aluminium, red and green finish. 13 x 5.5cm. Weighs 70g. From India.
