Satya Citronella, a 15g pack of hand-rolled sticks from the house that makes Nag Champa. Citronella is the lemony grass scent people burn outdoors on a summer evening, and a stick of it on a garden table or a windowsill is the pleasant way to use it. Around fifteen sticks to a pack, each burning for about half an hour.
Satya rolls its incense by hand in India with a masala paste of herbs, oils and resins pressed onto the bamboo stick, so the smoke is fuller and the scent carries further than a dipped stick. It is a clean, sharp smell rather than a sweet one.
Light the tip, let it glow, blow out the flame and stand it in a holder on a heatproof surface. Keep a pack by the back door for barbecues and late summer evenings, and keep it away from curtains and children.
Incense. 22 x 4 x 2cm. Weighs 15g. From India.
