Translucent walls glowing in front of a window
The larger selenite ritual bowl, around 13 to 15cm across depending on the block it was cut from, and 5cm deep, with a smooth polished bowl and a rough natural outer surface. This is the altar bowl: deep enough for offerings, a pillar candle in a holder, a smudge stick and shell, or a whole collection of tumbles, and heavy enough at around 760g to stay exactly where it is put. Selenite is translucent, so with a candle behind it the walls glow. Because each bowl is carved from a natural piece, the size and the amount of raw edge vary; that is the character of the thing. Keep it dry. In crystal practice selenite is the stone that clears other stones, which makes this the bowl a working collection sleeps in.
Selenite. Approximately 15 x 15 x 5cm. Weighs around 760g. From Morocco.
