Light one cone or all three and watch the smoke rise from the caps
Three flat-topped mushrooms turned from mango wood, 13, 12 and 11cm tall, each with a shallow recess on the cap to hold an incense cone. They are a stepped trio rather than a matched set, so they group naturally on a shelf or a windowsill like toadstools of different ages, and each cap is a cone holder in its own right. Light a cone on one or all three; the smoke rises from the caps and the ash stays in the recess. Between burnings they are simply ornaments, and they sell to people who have no particular interest in incense. Mango wood is dense, so the mushrooms stand firm, and it is sustainably harvested from orchard trees. Hand-turned in India, the grain and colour vary between pieces. A good gift for a woodland-themed home or a child's room.
Mango wood, set of three. 13cm, 12cm and 11cm tall. Weighs 126g. From India.
