White Sage & Lavender Smudge Stick - Large, Individually Wrapped

A large white sage and lavender smudge stick, 22.5cm long and 120g, a dense bundle of white sage with stems of dried lavender bound through it, individually wrapped, from Mexico. It is the gentle version of the smudging bundle: the sage does the clearing and the lavender, the calming plant of every tradition that uses plants for mood, softens the smoke and leaves the room smelling of a linen cupboard rather than a campfire, which makes it the smudge for a bedroom, a nursery, a treatment room between clients and anyone who finds plain sage too harsh. It is burned before sleep, before a meditation, and after a hard day. Light the tip, blow out the flame, let the bundle smoulder and fan the smoke, then press it out in a dish; a bundle this size lasts for months of use. Keep a heatproof dish or shell beneath it. The purple stems make it the prettiest of the four large sticks.
