A rock quartz sphere pendulum: a small polished ball of clear quartz, hung on a silver-plated chain of about 170mm with a gemstone bead at the end to hold. Clear quartz is the neutral, all-purpose stone of crystal practice, read as amplifying whatever question is set with it, so this is the sphere pendulum that suits any kind of dowsing, and the one to choose when no particular stone calls. A sphere swings in cleaner circles and lines than a point and is read by direction rather than by where a tip points, which many prefer for yes-and-no work and for reading over a chart, and a clear ball bends the cloth beneath it as it moves, which is pleasant to watch. Crystal dowsing is used for finding things, for healing and reiki work and for divination. Natural quartz, so the clarity and the faint veils inside vary from sphere to sphere. Made in India.
