Aluminium petals that catch the ash and never rust
A three-layered lotus in cast aluminium with holes for incense sticks in the centre, so several sticks can burn at once and the petals catch the ash as it falls. The lotus is the flower of purity in Buddhist and Hindu practice, rising clean from muddy water, and the layered petals give it depth that a flat ash catcher lacks.
Aluminium does not rust and wipes clean, and at 23g it is light enough to move from a desk to a yoga mat to an altar. At 10cm across it takes up little room on a shelf.
Use it for one stick during a meditation or three for a larger room. It suits the Satya and Goloka sticks and any standard bamboo-core incense. Place it on a heatproof surface, since ash falls hot.
