A rock quartz wand cut with six flat faces rather than turned round, 12cm long with a 2cm square section, a faceted point at one end and silver-plated collars at both. The hexagonal cut is the thing: it gives the hand a grip and the eye an edge to follow, it stops the wand rolling off an altar, and it lets the faces catch the light one after another as the wand turns. Clear quartz is the neutral, all-purpose stone of crystal practice, read as amplifying whatever intention it is used with, so this is the wand recommended first to anyone starting energy work, and the one that goes with every other stone in a collection. At 120g it is light enough to hold through a long session. Each shaft is cut from a different piece of natural quartz, so the veils and inclusions inside vary. Made in India and finished by hand.
