Half a kilo of raw rose quartz, the pink quartz in its rough state, broken rather than tumbled, with the cloudy colour the stone is loved for showing through matte, crystalline surfaces. Pieces range from small chips to chunks the size of a walnut, and the pink runs from a faint blush to a definite rose depending on the piece. Rose quartz is the stone of love in every tradition that names stones, and raw rose quartz in particular is kept by the bed, on a dressing table and in a dish by the door.
